*"Floor-thumping twisted metal"~Creative Loafing Atlanta Ga
*"It''s like having the advanced copy of Pyromania before anyone knew about it"~Southside Steve/WKLS FM/96Rock
*Prey: It should be a law that every Metal song should have a riff that starts this way.
This CD has a cross of Dokken meets Saigon Kick. It will be in my computers jukebox to listen to at work.-Emerald Monkey
*Ever since Devane graced KRav radio with a few cd''s for the masses, I was knocked back by the tight, aggressive, powerful message''s in their tunes. This group will go far and KRav stands proud to play them on the airwaves" -KRAV radio
*"Very cool!"
"Still in the cd player!" -Michael Gillan-KNAC
*"One thing about Devane that immediately will strike the listener is the inability to define their music. This is not a cookie cutter sub-genre sort of release as Devane really crafts a sound all their own. Bringing to the table an unusual combination of glam and goth metal elements, their sound all comes together in suprisingly strong fashion. The vocals can be soft yet have an underlying aggression reminding me of Armored Saint''s John Bush meeting WASP''s Blackie Lawless in a dark alley. The music has a very Def Leppard quality to it, but is darker than their work and for the most part, heavier. Very melodic and a breath of fresh air in an often too stagnant music world, look for Devane to make their mark soon."-Reviewed By StygianSteel
*"All along the songs, Devane gives they master their material. Lyrics and music are absolutely new, it''s Devane''s style only. And so, only Devane could interpret them so well.
With "Midnight", you enter the Nation by the main gate. A quote of your past comes from their crypt of Marietta (GA).
"Prey" is one of this songs that have this little special/different thing, as if an exclamation mark came to your mind while listening. It''s from this kind of songs existing as to spread a band name and climb chart steps easily.
If I have to rate my top of the top song, that would be "Do you ?". Though, each song''s entirely different from the others, "Do you ?" is apart. With an mid-eastern touch, it''s a strong and profound scream of love. Is there one girl to resist ? I couldn''t."-Metal Inn Review
Well hang on a minute, I don''t particularly like ''Heavy'' Rock music that much, so why am I writing a review of Devane. Aha, thats easy to answer, my misspent youth was spent listening to nothing other than Alice Cooper, Hawkwind and Frank Zappa, and when I first listened to Devane''s track Prey I was immediately transported to a time when a new track by a favourite band was almost an out of body joyous experience. This track sounds like the track that should have been on Welcome to my nightmare, but was too musical.

Devane have atmosphere by the bucket load, and the quality of their playing is superb. The lyrics could easily sound cheesy in the wrong hands, but because of the strength of the vocalist''s voice, and the fire from the lead guitar, the overall effect is one of power and realism. The bass and drums work together immaculately to put depth on the tracks. The blend of lead guitar, synth and 2nd guitar is mixed very well, with nothing dominating, allowing all the musicianship to shine out, faultless, would have been easy to overdo it. Bear in mind, that while Alice Cooper and Frank Zappa are the bands/artists that I grew up with, I generally regard most ''rock'' music, especially Iron Maiden etc. as a load of old cookie cutter teenage nonsense (sorry, but hey, what you want me to do, pretend???). Thats why Devane''s tracks stand out so much, and I for one would buy an album of theirs in a heartbeat (then I''d wear it out and buy another one. I generally have a low regard for most heavier rock music (get the picture) although some are entertaining enough in a fast food way, but always leave me feeling like there should have been more to it, no real substance to their sound, Devane however, have some seriously solid thing going, and I''ll listen again and again. For me, music has to have some sort of extra shine to engage me, and I''m looking forward to hearing more from these guys.

I''ve been fortunate enough to hear previews of 2 of their forthcoming tracks, and if anything, they sound even more stellar. Why these guys do not have a huge recording deal is a mystery, but one that surely will be resolved before too long. Rarely does such a tight/professional band appear out of the blue. If America doesn''t want Devane, hey, Europe will have you guys!!!

*Its 4:30 AM and I''m driving down a deserted highway and Dusk starts and it scares the hell out of me cause It just feels like I''m in a horror film with that playing and then the guitar kicks in for Midnight and I''m all good. Then after Prey is done playing I look down and I''m doing 95ish MPH. So here it is, your review: "Guaranteed to get you a speeding ticket."-creegan

DEVANE are typical American Metal from 80''s with a touch of dark atmosphere in the very vain of W.A.S.P.. Some riffs and flashy solos show distinct influences from George Lynch (DOKKEN) and the way it develops together with heavy bass and simple loud drummings is in a way very authentic, but it''s quite effective to get the listeners into the song. Good choruses and many hooks. Those who loved (or still love) 80''s heavy metal which emerged especially from Los Angeles area will surely like DEVANE.-21st Century Metal
