Deidre Smith
Deidre Carmen Smith is a lifetime Detroiter and a multi-talented poet, singer, MC and actress. Sophisticated beyond her twenty-something years, Deidre started performing for family and friends at the tender age of 7. Listening to works by such jazz greats as Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn molded the eclectic singing style that turns the heads of all whom hear her. Deidre can also leave any MC in her wake with an edgy, powerful rap delivery or give you words to ponder with her profound poetry.
Other musical influences include Jill Scott, The Roots, Erykah Badu, Stephanie Mills, Blackstar, Friends of Distinction and Roy Ayers just to name a few.
Deidre worked with the production team DTW of DTW Entertainment/Keys of "C" Productions.
With an abundance of talent and the desire to be the best, the sky is the limit for this talented young lady. Her motto: I''ll open the door and get it myself.
