"Shitty but Fly"

Sometimes the truth can be painful, but in this case it is the definition of a young man and his talent for intertwining ghetto tales with an eloquence seldom seen in today''s music industry, much less the rap scene.

Easier to articulate than accomplish for the average entertainer, this simple philosophy is the foundation for West Coast rap impresario Dirty Birdy''s career as the next player in California''s rap game. Born and raised in San Bernardino Ca., 28 year old Dirty Birdy began speaking for the streets in his early teens and was unaware that his profound talents would lead him to a career doing what came naturally. "I''m exactly what my name is", he boldly states.

Dirty Birdy is no new comer in the game of rap. Having blessed several underground mix tapes, he went on to form the group The Black Spooks that included members Sly Boogy, D.J. KMP and Booquarm. Taking notice of his lyrical skill, Humpty Hump of Digital Underground fame, asked Dirty Birdy to deliver a verse on the song "Fool Get A Clue" from the album entitled Future Rhythm. This exposure, coupled with Dirty Birdy''s tireless work ethic, allowed him to perform several shows with the touring Digital Underground crew, expand his ever growing fan base and land a meeting with Perspective Records.

After presenting a strong demo, The Black Spooks signed with Perspective/A&M and under the tutelage of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, went on to record their first full length, self titled album THE BLACK SPOOKS. With Janet Jackson''s untimely departure from the label, all projects were put on hold including The Black Spooks, who then decided to pursue solo efforts in an attempt to make a name for themselves.

Upon hearing that The Black Spooks record deal fell through, King Tech of the duo Sway & King Tech decided to record Dirty Birdy and include him on their fifth release of The Wake Up Show Freestyles Volume 5. Dirty Birdy later went on to record "The Anthem" for The Wake Up Show Freestyles Volume 7.

After a short hiatus, due to Perspective''s unwillingness to release Dirty Birdy from the now defunct label, he returned to the rap game with a desire seldom seen in the Inland Empire''s burgeoning rap scene. He wasted no time in enlisting the production skills of the Inland Empire''s hottest producers. Partnering with Cracka Jack, and Fingazz, he was quickly able to re-enter the game as if he had never left. Dirty Birdy also utilized the talents of rapper/producer Dr. Stank who soon thereafter signed to MCA Records. Dr. Stank provided Dirty Birdy with the track "Everything I Love" and also asked him to represent on one of the tracks, "Diznuzit", which is currently in rotation on West Coast radio stations KPWR (''Power'' 106 FM) and KGGI (99.1 FM).

With his ability to relay stories of Cali''s life and times, Dirty Birdy is set to carve out a secured space in rap culture and beyond. His debut album, MIXTAPE VOLUME 1 is fully packed with extremely energized lyrics and his own highly impressive ability to portray every angle of himself throughout.

Dirty Birdy has all of the necessary elements of becoming recognized as one of the most prominent rap artists that the game has seen. Although no one can be certain of the future, the chances of missing the mark with an artist like Dirty Birdy are slim indeed.
