Details:
Born June 29, 1975, Milan “K.O.” Stromile was introduced to the streets of Detroit, MI. He began his music career early in life by starting with the basics of percussion. In high school he received a scholarship for his achievements in band activities. After his high school graduation in June of 1993, Milan attended Knoxville College in Tennessee and it was there he found the lyrical side of music.

With his new found love for freestyle rhyming and taking inspiration by notables in the industry (Ice Cube, Spice 1, 2Pac, Biggie Smalls, Nas, 8 Ball & MJG...to name a few), he began to fuse words with his percussion talents and that combination eventually grew into song writing.

Milan returned home in 1995 to work and begin life as an adult, he kept his dream of being a rap artist alive by joining a local hip-hop group know as “Rukkus.” This group previously consisted of 2 rappers, Darrel Smith and Kevin Caul. The 3 would be together for the next 2 years as opening acts for the likes of “Mystical” and “I.C.P. - Insane Clown Posse.” During this time with very little exposure, the group obtained a record deal with Hollywood Records; a division of Sychopathic Records. However, just as soon as they got it, they lost it.

Leaving the unsettled mess of the lost record deal behind and excluding the 3rd member of Rukkus, Milan and Kevin formed a duo act that would be known as “Dead Poets.” In 2001 they released an album titled “Tale of 2 Cities.” Dead Poets quickly rose to the top of Detroit’s underground circuit but in 2003, Kevin announced he was quitting the group and would be pursuing other opportunities.

In the late fall of 2005, Milan changed his stage name to K.O. and reconnected with his childhood friend Reginald “Charlie Scratch” Bennett who had been producing hip-hop beats for local notables in Detroit such as the late “Blade Icewood, Cosa Nostra, Al Nuke and more. After several sleepless nights juggling a relentless 6 day 14 hour job and lengthy late night recording sessions, the two knew they have something as a team.

Now, it’s 2007 and K.O. is ready to release his solo album Titled “ALL IN” which is slated for an early-fall release. K.O. has generated a following that is sure to increase with the national release of this album. He continues to record with Charlie Scratch while performing in numerous clubs around the state of Michigan.
