…That my soul may sing praise to Thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to Thee forever. Psalm 30:12

We cannot keep silent. That is why we sing. God’s grace and mercy to us have been too great to overlook and so we must declare it. Our first album is several things: a declaration of His faithfulness, a testimony of Christ’s work in us, and an artistic expression of a Love that lives within us.

Our music chronicles the intersection of our individual walks with Jesus in the reality of this world. When you listen to our music you will hear an evolution of faith that takes place in the solitude of a winter morning and in the midst of busy family life. The songwriting process has allowed us to mature as we document the real struggles and triumphs of the Christian faith. We do realize that there is still much refining to be done in each of us.

We are sisters. Laura is the one with the darker hair; Olivia, the blonder one (only in hair color, of course). We started writing and singing together in 2005 and have written over 20 songs since. We can recall some very late evenings in which we would sit on the back porch of our parents’ Connecticut home until dawn and just sing, sing, sing. Tremendous closeness came about as a result of those times. People started to hear about the “singing Plouffe sisters” (from our unbiased parents probably) and we soon found ourselves invited to sing at dance recitals, worship services, funerals and coffee houses.

The request for a CD soon followed. With the help of the many friends that we had met along our musical journey, we buckled down and started recording. We were very specific that the CD should be a live recording; just us, Olivia’s guitar and the room. The Lord blessed us with the opportunity to record at Monadnock Bible Conference in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. Some more late nights, followed by long distance communication with our producer, Terry, resulted in an album that we are excited about.

On June 2, 2007 Laura got married to Shawn, whom she met at Monadnock Bible Conference. Two months and five days after the wedding, Laura turned 20. Shawn is, “the best husband I could have ever asked for.” Laura now spends her days teaching music to little children in southern Connecticut through Musical Adventures (https://www.tradebit.com) and studying for her Bachelor’s degree in International Business. She enjoys cooking elaborate things, traveling, playing piano, practicing Pilates, going to church and singing.

Olivia is currently attending Briercrest College in Saskatchewan, Canada. She left for her first semester of college on September 1, 2007 and intends to get her degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. She is black belt in karate and enjoys running, reading missionary biographies, studying, traveling, playing Ultimate Frisbee, playing guitar and singing.
