The "Rodeo Beatniks" is a band who doesn’t take themselves too seriously. Mind you, the “Beatniks” approach their songwriting and arranging in earnest, but manage to avoid the pitfalls of pretension. Their music can be described as a fun alternative to “adult/alternative” music, rendering tunes that range in style from “tin pan alley,” to country-blues, to edgier folk-rock numbers. Their original compositions are often inspired by contemporary adult relationships and invariably reflect themes which express “grown-up” sentiments.
