Details:
This album came about as a nice surprise for me. While I was visiting my brother, Phil, on a visit to Texas in October 2007, I played him a couple of my new songs including Only Time. My brother, luckily understood my sense of humor that this blues song represents and offered to record some of my new songs on his Yamaha mini disc recorder and do the photography work for the album...plus he happened to know Todd Blalock, a wonderful guitar player there in Dallas, who is playing on cuts 1-7.
I always enjoy it when things flow easily like this recording did. It was just like sitting down with a couple of people in your living room and you happen to be recording the songs.
The first 6 songs are acoustic blues followed by country/folk (Bit by the loneliness bug) then modern folk/pop songs.
If you''d like to check out my previous CD''s, three of them
are available on CD BABY, including the next most recent CD, Everything it Wants, with John Hagen from Lyle Lovett Band on cello, Rich Brotherton from Robert Earl Keen band on guitar and Paul Pearcy who has played with so many great artists including The Dixie Chicks on their Home album.
