The first time Cliff Corr really wanted an instrument, he was 11 years old listening to his older brother playing the bass guitar. He would secretly play his bass when his brother was not at home while listening to old Beatles albums. Corr always enjoyed singing in school plays and with friends who played instruments. The day he left for college in 2001, he was determined to finally figure it all out and purchased his first acoustic guitar.
Soon after, Cliff Corr began writing and performing with good friend, Ian Lovejoy. Once writing a few songs, Corr realized the passion he had for putting his feelings to music and decided to run with it. Along with Ian, Ian''s brother Jake, and childhood friend Landon Burnette they formed the band BlueLine. BlueLine performed around the Southeast for 3 and 1/2 years, loving every minute of it. But with school and work, BlueLine began to play less, but Corr continued to write. In late 2006 he entered a homemade video for his song "True Love Real" into the CMT’s Music City Madness, a contest giving the winner a trip to Nashville and an episode of CMT''s Studio 330 Sessions. A few months later, he was surprised to hear that his video was chosen as one of the 64 contestants and to be played on the CMT Top 20 countdown.
Although nothing came from the contest, Corr decided he might take a chance and move to Nashville for a summer internship and the opportunity to have his music heard. His music blends elements of singer-songwriter''s such as Dave Matthews, Counting Crows, and Sister Hazel. He has just finished recording his new EP titled "Middle of May" with Nashville musician Justin Saunders who has played with such musicians as Mat Kearney and Future Man of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.
