Details:
Beginning way back in eighth grade, Civil Blitzkrieg started as a rather generic punk/ska three-piece. Roughly a year after they began, the band released their self-recorded, 11 song debut "Futureless". Six months later, another release followed, this time a 5 song EP entitled "Reluctant". By december of 2006, AJ (vox/bass) became unhappy with his instrumental abilities, so the band''s friend Mike was recruited to play bass, with AJ moving to vocals full time. Though Mike would only be in the band for a few months, he would play bass during the creation of over half of the songs that would appear on their next EP, "7 Songs To Kill Time And Brain Cells." "7 Songs" marked the beginning of AJ''s departure from growly vocals, which he had begun considering generic and "lame", to a more streamlined style. Also new to the recording was Nick, a new guitar player, with Pat moving from his position of guitar, to bass. With Nick now in the band, the group quickly set forth to create new, better material for a second full length, and first studio-recorded album. With Nick''s guitar-style firmly in place, the band began moving towards a more melodic punk sound that all of the members had been growing into. Now, with the release of their studio-debut, and fourth release overall, "Five Minutes To Midnight", a month away, the band is hoping to reach a new audiance and spread their music to whoever wants to hear it. Oh, and Brad is the drummer.
