Darragh Quinn Dolan is nine years old and has a clear soprano voice. Her vocal range has been said to reach five octaves, and she has appeared as a soloist on TV and radio. Darragh has won multiple singing competitions, beginning at age 7.
A regular on the musical theater scene in Chicago, recent roles include “Adele” in Big Noise Theater’s production of “Jane Eyre” (Winnetka, Illinois) and “Tessie” in the Woodstock Opera Company’s production of “Annie Warbucks” (Woodstock, Illinois). She has also played the role of "Fan" in the Metropolis Center for the Performing Arts’ production of “A Christmas Carol” (Arlington Heights, Illinois) and “Tootie” in the “Jeff Recommended” production of Circle Theater’s “Meet Me in St. Louis.” (Forest Park, Illinois.)
While this fourth grader’s first love is singing and musical theater, she also has loves performing on screen as well. Darragh has been featured on several national commercials, including a Kraft Miracle Whip ad (which co-starred a fainting turkey) and a Build-a-Bear Workshop ad. In 2006, she was cast by “Shark” actor James Woods for a lead in a commercial he directed for Kaiser Permanente. Darragh also played the lead character “May” in the recently completed short film “Pirates and Pills. Prior film roles include the part of young Basya in the award-winning short film “The King’s Daughter.”
Darragh is currently represented by Stewart Talent Management in Chicago. She studies voice with Chicago vocal coach John Komasa. As much as Darragh loves to sing ballads, she also adores belting out Broadway tunes and has a great time singing the Blues. She plans to record more CDs in 2008 and continue her acting in theater.
