Details:
Pianist, guitarist, and vocalist Dr. Steve Kraemer has been performing in the Baltimore/DC area since the late 1970''s. He''s the only Baltimore-based blues artist to be mentioned in Christiane Bird''s "Guide to Live Blues and Jazz in the U.S.". Steve''s piano playing shows the influences of Otis Spann, Ray Charles, and New Orleans R&B, while his guitar playing is in the West-Side Chicago style. Steve and the Bluesicians (Glenn Moomau, harp; Steve Potter, electric bass; Phil Cunneff; drums) have had a regular Sunday-afternoon gig at Baltimore''s Cat''s Eye Pub since May 1984! The CD "Money Don''t Hurt" contains 13 originals out of its 14 tracks, including the West-Side Chicago sound of "Tell Me Baby", the jump-blues feel of "Stolen Love", and the mid-60''s R&B sound of the title track. And, don''t miss guest-vocalist Richmond Slim''s ode to his "Whiskey Drinkin'' Woman"!
