ABOUT Liminal-
Liminal came into existence through the collaborations of three members of a church praise band at the Federated Church in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Rev. Mark Simone, the youth pastor, had been playing music for years with Craig Ramsey in numerous bands organized through the church. when Bridget Davis joined the band as lead vocalist, the three realized that perhaps God had more for them. Ramsey and Simone began writing songs and Craig recorded them, adding layers for a full, rich, creative sound. Bridget discovered her own songwriting gifts and added her songs to the mix. The CD was produced by Craig Ramsey.
About Liminal Songs-
As a band we did not want to write more songs wrapped in the predictable language and themes of mainline Christianity. We wanted to talk about life and how faith is relevant to daily living. We wanted to talk about personal changes and that rebirth comes with each new day. We wanted to make a spiritual album that was true to the idea of our band name - Liminal.
Liminal space is the space in a doorway, the place of transition between two rooms. We wanted to create music that gave that feel and cataloged the many changes one experiences in life. Life is more than waiting for Heaven. Life is for each "today" we are given. So our songs are about the life we all enjoy and the challenges we all face. We frequently hear that many of our songs put into words what others have felt in their own lives. If we can give voice to your feelings, then we have accomplished what we believe God intended for us!
