Details:
Red Shoes for Romeo is based out of San Jose, CA and is comprised of the multi-talented songwriting duo that is Gene Kostelnik and M. Howard Fraser. Both veterans of the San Francisco Bay Area music scene for more than a decade, they have been playing and recording music with many different bands and projects in the San Jose area. Meeting for the first time in 2005 while Mike auditioned for Gene''s then project The Blind, both realized the potential that they had stumbled upon in each other''s writing abilities while involved in that project. They soon decided to go out on their own and formed Red Shoes for Romeo in 2006.

Our groups style could be described as retro-modern pop, but seems like it falls into a category all its own. Hints of modern rock, such as Squeeze, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Crowded House and Duncan Sheik, can be heard throughout. Our influences range from The Beatles to groups from the 80s such as Mister Mister, Tears for Fears and The Cure. If you like these types of groups we think you''ll like us too.

Gypsy Fortune Teller was recorded from May 2006 through July 2007 at Clearwater Studios in Santa Clara, CA and features
the singles "Hands of Time" and "The World Is Ours".

We also have a great version of "Eleanor Rigby" by Paul McCartney

Press Update:
Red Shoes For Romeo will be filming the video for "The World Is Ours" in January of 2008!
