Walk With Me is 26-year old Sara Thuressons debut album, entirely produced by herself and her friends in Piteå, Sweden. She has not yet any backup from a record company but has recieved funding from the local community for her debut.
Sara is currently gigging frequently and writing new material for her next album.
ABOUT SARA:
Sara started out as a little girl with curly hair and haven’t changed much since.
She controls her curls every now and then but her creativity is something she does not wish to hold back. She started singing before she could talk properly and she sang while walking around the house, carrying her songbook with her. Sara did not yet read music but she recognized the pictures and could thereby pick the right melodies to sing. Her voice has continued to be the primary way of expression and her longing to express feelings through music has driven her forward…and inward.
Sara Thuresson wishes to give you something when you listen to her music. But she cannot and doesn''t want to decide what it is you receive. That you experience and feel something or perhaps get the urge to do something – that is what is important to her. She wants to connect and mediate. And being committed to one certain genre is not her thing. Classical music, modern art music or pop – she''s doing all of it and is trying to stay true to herself. Unfortunately, thinks Sara, there are a lot of unwritten laws that force musicians into narrow styles but she can see this beginning to loosen up and that makes her happy.
Sara is a girl with many ideas and dreams, with things constantly going on and lots of plans for the future. Some of those plans are made into reality and others, with some perspective, are thrown away. She may not always be easy to handle and she likes to be the centre of attention. But on the whole, she is both rather gentle and kind…
