OH HELL....Just throw ''em all on there.

Witty, Clever, Diverse, Different, Mature. Darin Di Pietro’s 4th offering under the Uncle Salty’s Cabin moniker, ''OH HELL....Just throw ‘em all on there'' isn’t your typical cookie-cutter corporate branded release.

No bandwagon hopping going on here, no pretending to be something it’s not. Artistically organic- roots and all.

Darin continues his role as sole songwriter/guitarist/producer/engineer but also adds vocals, bass, drums, percussion and keyboards to the majority of the 11 songs on the disc.

Original Uncles Salty’s Cabin singer Brett Branham handles lead vocals on 3 songs. Long time Cabin drummer Jeff Derby along with drummer Pete Johnston, from the bands Half Zaftig and Charlie Drown, each play on 2 songs and keyboardist Dick Henderson plays on one.
The album is a collections of songs recorded randomly over the last 2 and a half years and are again based on Darins often humorously sarcastic odd view of life. From the first question “what would happen if you called one of those ‘for a good time call..’ numbers written on men''s room walls?”(Bathroom Stall Girl) to the ending statement directed at all those middle aged former jocks, cheerleaders and rockers who still relive their glorious distant past far too often (Give It A Rest), ''OH HELL .... Just throw ‘em all on there'' paints a clear visual picture where the subjects shouldn’t be lost on anyone who listens.

A brief history-
The first Uncle Salty’s Cabin cd was a self titled release in ‘97 and received critical acclaim. Getting wide spread radio play and being dubbed “the best new music in 15 years” by dj Robert Anthony. The second release , Uncle Salty’s Cabin 2 in ‘00, continued with the blues/rock influence of the first cd and again was welcomed by the critics and the radio stations.

Released in ‘03 and 3rd in the catalog, hooch radio 109.9 fm, was not so welcome on radio and the critics didn’t really know what to make of it. Though the reviews were generally favorable, it was a bit eclectic for the masses. Several songs were included on a couple of extreme sports films but hooch didn’t enjoy any commercial success.

‘07 brings OH HELL.... Just throw ‘em all on there to the list of USC releases and helps add to a hugely stylistically diverse catalog.

Over the years Uncle Salty’s Cabin hasn’t been so much a “band” but a project headed by Darin Di Pietro who along with Brett Branham and a revolving cast of musicians would record and play live just for the fun of it. Every cd has had a different cast of characters and that trend will continue as long as Darin keeps writing songs.

If you don’t create, you might as well grow old.....
