"With the high-sex camp pomp pout of Scott Weiland, the sleazy metallic meat of Skid Row and the electronic perversion of Children Of Bodom, they sound like Mötley Crüe''s souls look like: dark, sexy, sleazy and totally shameless. They sound like they''d sleep with your girlfriend/wife/mum and film it for you as a birthday present."
“We don’t give a fuck! Trends come and go... we just do what we wanna do” state the band. Finland’s hottest new band Vanity Beach are just about to independently release their new EP ‘VENGEANCE’. and the search for the right label continues. "Imagine Pantera jamming with Duran Duran... that''s what the new material sounds like" says frontman J. Crushing guitars, hard hitting beats layered with catchy vocal hooks and epic synth melodies. “We listen to everything from fuckin’ Journey to Mortician… I guess this is what happens” proclaims bassist Post. Starting with the fast paced synth-punk groove ‘You’re In Danger’ the EP kicks off in a truly brutal fashion. Next follows ‘Bitch In A Bodybag’. “This is probably the heaviest song we’ve written, still it’s probably got the catchiest chorus we’ve ever written”, says Juno Forth. Next up is the first single form the EP entitled ‘Hello Goodbye’ after which follows the dance-mosh anthem ‘BATCAVE’. The EP continues with a re-recorded ''Take Me To Tokyo'' and ends with a twisted hip-hop jam entitled ''She Always Dances Alone''. “Listening to the EP kinda makes you feel like you’re speeding in a Ferrari with Sonny Crocket” boasts lead guitarist Marty.
Hailing from the hometown of Max Payne, Espoo, the band consisting of Post (bass synth, age: 23) Marty Vain (lead guitar, age: 23), Juno Forth (synths, samples, age: 24) & J (vocals, guitars, age: 23) was formed in early 2002 after the demise of Juno’s and J''s former band Cum.
A reputation of being a killer live act has been established by playing everything from small club shows to major venues, from opening up for bands like Swedish pop act; Shout Out Louds to playing Scandinavia’s biggest metal festival, the Tuska Festival. “Anything can happen at a VB show, anything” explains Juno. Energy-filled, explosive live shows à la early Nine Inch Nails may come as a surprise to many, from a band that looks like the bastard offspring of Visage and Sex Pistols. Responding to this, the guys quote Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe; “Just cuz we wear lipstick, doesn’t mean we can’t kick your ass!”. A website created by Pixelghetto Studios (Type O Negative, Orgy) was launched back in 2002, and is now receiving thousands of weekly hits.
The critically acclaimed debut CD; ‘Nights Of The New’ was released independently by the band back in April, 2003 and the sales exceeded all expectations. The first printing of the CD sold out only within a couple of weeks of it''s release! ‘Nights Of The New’ featured such fan favorites as ‘Fight Through The Night’, ‘Girls On TV’ and a collaboration with Canada’s The Birthday Massacre; ‘The Knight Murders’. “this is impressive” writes https://www.tradebit.com. “My only complaint is that the CD is too short! I want more!” concludes D1 Music. An extended version of the album was released in Australia on October 17th, 2005 through Electricult Records/MGM and a short tour is being planned to take place in the coming months.
A music video for the song ‘Take Me To Tokyo’ was filmed at Europa Studios in Stockholm, Sweden with Alex Frejrud and can be seen at the official Vanity Beach website (https://www.tradebit.com). The single was released during the fall 2005 and features in high-profile magazines such as Metal Hammer and Kerrang followed. ‘VENGEANCE’…. one of this years crucial releases. …be afraid.
