ARTIST: ebanie.
BIO: Born in Guyana - South America. Sung with the https://www.tradebit.comrges Cathedral Choir for 3 yrs. At 14 yrs old joined a local band as Lead & Back-up Singer and played percussion. At 16yrs His Family moved to the United States and lived in Orange New Jersey for 1 year before moving to Los Angeles California. After attending Oceanside High California, he returned to New Jersey and began performing and touring with "The Innerstate Band" as Lead Singer & Guitars. While with that band, Ebanie was then asked to join another famous Reggae Band "KEYSTONE BAND" from Philidelphia, who at the time were on tour with Legendary Jamaican Artist "MAX ROMEO". This lead to him being spotted by a Record Company Executive of SAK Records from California.
After that tour ended, he was asked by the President of SAK Records- California, who had checked out some of that tour, where ebanie''s performance caught his eye, and asked him to record a single for that label, using ebanie as lead singer, writer and producer, he co-produced that single at If Walls Could Talk Studios in Passaic NJ but after all of the legal crazyness, ebanie actually ended up https://www.tradebit.comducing that Single for his friend with SAK Records, but did not sing on it.
Leaving that company, ebanie began work on his own Record Label "YESAK Records" and production company, which he released his first single "HeavyLoad" in the United States, and received rave reviews that launched his career. He toured extensively throughout the United States for 4 months, before realizing that his single was Number One in Guyana South America. He then was asked by the entertainment media and radio personalities to visit on a promotional tour. After two visits of that country, he returning to the United States and began work on Various Reggae Artist from England UK, Guyana, Jamaica and ST. Lucia. Many of those singles were released on various Indi and Major Record Labels in the USA and Europe. In 1989 Moved to London England where he recieved a Single Deal with Virgin Records UK. He returned to the USA in 1991 after being offered an Album Deal with CBS/Sony Records and began work on Paranoia collection, which that deal was being put together by producer and Studio owner Chris Erwin of Calliope Studiosin New York. He returned to the USA and signed a Artist Production Deal with Calliope Productions and began work on that Album. This album was never released, due to the company''s problems at the time, and that deal never came to be.
Ebanie then was asked by a famous New Jersey Group: Young & Company who were signed to Atlantic Records, to produce their album. He began production on that album at the then famous MEDIA SOUND Recording studio NYC, and at completion, he moved to London England again to persue breaking into the Eurapean market where he lived and did some work with Virgin Records UK.
After returning to America, ebanie began production on a few artist for various labels, some famous and some new up and coming. And in 1995, he was asked to sign with MHG Records, a Nigerian - USA based R&B label, who''s owner signed him to a singles deal, that single "KOOL LOVER" was released to Rave Reviews in BILLBOARD, IMPACT Magazine, Nigerian Times, HIT Music Report, which launched a major marketing campaign and USA tour.
When that tour concluded he continued what he had left off with Calliope Studios, working on the PARANOIA album at "Sacred Sound Studios" in New Jersey with "Joe Marno" at the consoles, and at completion, headed out to Sherman Oaks California to meet with then Manager; ''Dick (Richard) Scott,'' who went into talks with Warner Bros, and Virgin Records (USA) concerning signing ebanie and (or) Scott''s production company. This record was never released, due to issues with Management and the Distribution Company where Scott was breaking into broadway like plays and hadden''t much interest in the Music Industry any longer.
ebanie then moved to Virginia at the end of 1996 where he kept quiet for about one year, only to began recording the now; "Soul Temple".. This album was completly recorded and produced by ebanie at his friends studio on the Chesapeake & Norfolk Borders in Virgina on the water. That tranquil setting made reach very deep to find all that was going on in with his soul, he says that Virginia was a breath of fresh air. It inspired him to dig deep into his inner soul and this is what he found. Soul Temple was released on SlamStreet Records and at the time, distributed by Europe Enterprises Inc., in Virginia. Ebanie then embarked on a major promotional tour that took him to Cannes France where he performed at the Reed Midem World Music Seminar, and after returning to the States, he began a national promotional campaign.
