Hi,
My name is Fran Friedman and I want to thank you for visiting my CD Baby page today.
I bring my background of Audiology and Neuropsychology into how I picked the songs for this CD. They are developmentally appropriate and meaningful. I want children to learn lessons from the songs, such as, the qualities that are valuable in themselves, and those behaviors that are respectful and kind towards others.
It''s important to me that children have fun with the songs, while learning lessons that are helpful for life.
I very carefully choose and arrange songs so adults, as well as children, can enjoy the entire CD.
For this CD I had the pleasure of including fantastic songs by John Denver, Tom Chapin, Sarah Pertle, John McCutcheon, Stuart Stotts and more.
With so many great songs to choose from it’s hard to pick a favorite, but I want to tell you about “For Baby”. This was the song I used to sing to my daughter when she was young. She is now a wonderful young adult, and on this CD she sings the lead vocal in the song, while I sing the back-up harmony…priceless.
I have released many CDs that have won Parents’ Choice and Parents’ Guide Awards. I speak at national educational conferences and am also active in organizations such as the ASHA-American Speech and Hearing Association and many children’s music organizations like CMN-Children’s Music Network, ECMMA-Early Childhood Music and Movement Association and the NAEYC-National Association for the Education of Young Children.
