Philadelphia-based jazz fusion quartet, THE HALF OF IT, has just released its self-titled second album on Ramsey Records, following up on it''s critically acclaimed debut record, "Drop" (Reel to Real Records, 2005). THE HALF OF IT is a leader in new jazz fusion, a sound that infuses modern popular music (funk, hip hop, neo-soul, heavy metal, art rock), along with classical and world music, with the harmonies and improvisation of jazz music.
Since its inception in 2004, THE HALF OF IT has made two records, held residencies at some of Philly''s top venues, and made regular appearances at the region''s jazz festivals, including Musikfest (PA) and Fraze Pavillion (OH).
The band members have performed with such artists as Geri Allen, Jill Scott, Oliver Lake, Jef Lee Johnson, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Chuck Berry, Andy Bey, Tim Warfield, and Pablo Batista.
