Identitycc started in the year 2006. They had come from different denominations. Nick Flores had been doing music at different churches for the last 20 years. He started as a teenager and began writing music about his faith. In 1995, he had his first opportunity to record his music. The experience increased his desire to write and produce original music. After becoming music director for different churches he finally met David Alcala Jr. who began playing the drums with him at all the different churches he played at. As the years went on he started to meet people who shared the same vision. George Hancock and Mark Hartlaub joined in and the Matthew Trevino was added. It wasn''t until an opportunity came for all of them to play at a church together that they met Dustin Brothers. It seemed that God just brought them together from different places. They began to connect on a musical level as well as a spiritual level. After having to move on from this church in which they all gathered they felt that they wanted to continue doing music and praising God with it. So they came up with the name IDentitycc. This name has two meanings; it not only represents where they are from which is Corpus Christi, Tx. but Corpus Christi also means "The Body of Christ" And our IDentity is that "We are the Body of Christ" That is our Identity.
After they established the name they added Vanessa Perez who also had been singing at churches for most of her life and Vanessa Noguera who sang in church since she was a teenager.
They felt that God had a plan to use them to lead people with music. So, during the summer of 2007, recorded their first CD. They are following the road that God has laid before them and will see where it takes them.
