This part Hawaiian, part Irish multi-instrumental musician was born in Syracuse, Indiana in 1985.
There was no TV in the house growing up… so Jake began studying music at a very young age. His mother kept a piano, violin, recorder, clarinet, harmonica, and classical guitar in the house at all times. Dad played the folk, rock & soul greats from the 1960’s & 70’s in the pickup….
Jake started writing & performing music in Elementary School. At Goshen High School, Jake played in marching & concert band his first year. Then moved onto Jazz Band & in a Ska/Reggae/Punk band called “The Bigglesworth.”
He continued to play drums/guitar as he attended Indiana University for 2 years after High School. He struggled through jobs as flight crew luggage loader, electronics salesman, clothing salesman and more countless, seemingly worthless professions.
In the Fall of 2006 at age 21, Jake had convinced himself that his then love had cheated on him. Jake now, writes music & records in 2 studios in San Rafael, CA. He plays in jam sessions & at open mics throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Currently, just JAKE is promoting the first full-length album judge NOT.
