Mikki White was born in Tennessee to parents, Pastor Clifford and Carolyn White. She sang gospel music with her family when she was young, and she also recorded several gospel albums.
Mikki and her siblings once entered a Motown competition, which received national recognition. After this, Mikki continued singing, and formed an R&B singing group entitled MILENIA (with her sisters). This was influenced by Prince.
Mikki sang background for Prince in 1999-2001. She performed on shows such as Jay Leno, and in the Prince/Angie Stone video, "You Make My Sunshine".
Mikki sang with artists such as Prince, Gerald Levert, R. Kelley, Sheila E., Najee, Boyz II Men, to name a few.
Throughout these musical adventures, Mikki decided to pursue her own music career. With music deeply embedded in her blood, she still feels that music is a way to express who she is. “I feel like this gift was given from God and I have to use my talents”. Since this revelation, she has completed her solo debut CD, MIKKI TIME.
Mikki is looking for die-hard fans who love good music, and who believe that great music is more than a ‘bomb’ beat! It is about soul, passion, and being in tune with one’s reality.
