NEW IMAGE is a Contemporary Gospel Group. The group consists of two sisters Dachelle Elie age 14 & Tesiana Elie age 16 singing contemporary Gospel music with an R&B, Jazz influence.
Tesiana Elie is a senior in High School, and has attended the Conservatory at SUNY New Paltz, through a scholarship she won for theatre at NYSSSA. Dachelle Elie is a High School Sophomore. She was an Alternate winner for NYSSSA, for Theatre. Both girls are ardent musical composers, writing several of the songs on this CD. Both of these young ladies attended John Robert Powers for Acting and TV Commercial, and have gotten numerous call backs from various Agents, and Casting Directors such as Joey Paul Jensen.
They have performed in many school musicals at Lawrence Public Schools, Churches, the Village of Cedarhurst, and most recently at the Queens Theatre in the Park, with Mike & Regina Winans; Councilman Sanders Jr. Summer Jam in the Park in NYC, where they opened for such Legends as The Blue Notes, Ray Goodman and Brown, and Black Ivory. This year “I Shall Be Holy” was played on several shows on1240AM NY including the “Stan The Man Show”, where they were also featured live.
“Faith” has been nominated by the Tiffany Gospel Awards for Best new song by a Group.
