Details:
In this exciting new collection of songs, you will hear the many sounds that influenced the song writer as he
grew up in Oklahoma. There are touches of urban funk, pop rock, contemporary and other styles. He
attended Tulsa University where he studied music theory, writing and explored the performing arts, and studied
classical guitar under Mark Stefani in San Francisco. When he was 20-something he took up the trumpet but
soon devoted himself exclusively to the guitar. The author has given instruction in guitar, creative writing and music
composition extensively, including Tyler Street Christian Academy in Dallas and San Francisco State University
in San Francisco. Mr. Contri traveled widely and performed in many venues such as the Club Come Back In,
Venice Beach, California and the Street Lights Club in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He worked as a street
musician on Fisherman''s Wharf, San Francisco together with Enoc Simpson, saxophonist and was on staff at
Melvin Morrison Productions in Los Angeles in the early 80s.
His tremendous volume of experience has enabled him to write a great variety of compelling and adventurous
tunes that define our society and our spirituality.
He is (still!) working on his life-long love, adapting piano classical greats to the guitar, and these are already
renowned throughout the world. An updated version will be available soon, so stay tuned.
