Alissa Moreno, whose music has been featured on MTV hit shows including, "Laguna Beach,""The Hills," and "Newport Harbor" is an acclaimed singer/songwriter. In addition to co-writing and singing the theme of the ABC show "Hope & Faith" (second season), her song "Far From Here" was used in radio, television, internet and movie theaters to promote the hit series "Army Wives" from the producers of "Grey''s Anatomy." You may have heard her music on television shows including "Wonderfalls" (Fox), "The Drive" (CMT), "How I Met Your Mother (CBS), Guiding Light (CBS) and a variety of other projects including films such as the Quentin Tarantino produced "Daltry Calhoun" (Miramax), and the Slamdance Feature Film "Mall Cop."

Moreno has penned songs for Rascal Flatts and collaborated with noteworthy music industry veterans including Matt Scannell of Vertical Horizon, songwriter/producer Jamie Houston (Kid Rock, Macy Gray, Santana, Bo Bice) composer John Swihart ("Napoleon Dynamite"), Jeffrey Steele (Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill), David Baerwald and Kevin Hunter (Sheryl Crow), and Tony Scalzo and Miles Zuniga of Fastball.

Born on a Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico to parents who are teachers, Alissa was raised in Albuquerque, later to live in Santa Fe. After college, she went on a vacation to Kona, Hawaii, and decided to stay for more than a year. It was here that she had the opportunity to spend time with her grandfather, Bob Moreno, who had toured and written with Mel Torme and Matt Dennis. As the top pick for the Benny Goodman show as drummer, Bob could not read tablature and lost the gig. He encouraged Alissa to continue studying music profusely, leading her to be an extraordinary musician and songwriter.

Alissa is a renown piano and vocal talent, having worked on the set of "Hollywoodland" (Focus Features 2006) as vocal coach to Ben Affleck. She also is an actress, appearing in commercials, indie films, and creating and starring in Los Angeles Independent Film Festival short film "Superchicks." She currently lives in Los Angeles, and performs regularly at some of LA''s hottest clubs: House of Blues, Knitting Factory, The Viper Room, and The Hotel Cafe.
