In his recording debut, native Philadelphian Greg Allen has collaborated with some of the finest local gospel talent to produce a “churchy” traditional project which congregations across denominations are sure to appreciate. This project was recorded live on March 25, 2001 at the beautiful Sharon Baptist Church of Philadelphia (PA). Guest Artists assisting with the project include The South Jersey Mass Choir, Holloway-Hardeman & Holloway (recording artist, Paula Holloway-Call on His Name). Guest instrumentalists include producer, songwriter and organist-Daren Miller, Paul Williams-drums, Jermaine Childs-bassist, and composer/ keyboardist- David Winslow (David Winslow Singers). “Songs of Praise: Volume I” opens with an invitation to “Come and Go” to that heavenly land, finally compelling us to Rejoice and Give Thanks!
