The textures, the rhythms and the players spring out of affiliation with jazz, various world traditions, and certain film and classical music.

GROUP BIO
The BandA ecLectics were put together in January 2007 by pianist-composer Petros Sakelliou. The group is comprised of a selection of professional Boston based musicians with diverse affiliations ranging from jazz to the folk music of Greece, Latin America and Spain, to classical music as well as improvisation.
The band recorded a 7 track album in May 31st 2007, named "Angeles Los Boston"
The cd got released in June 2007. Compositions and production by Petros Sakelliou.
Shortly after the cd release, one of the track, namely “Swingalong”, was announced winner of the 2007 THELONIOUS MONK INSTITUTE jazz composition competition.
