This Inspirational Gospel Artist is set to release her sophomore CD, I’ve Got An Angel this fall. Both nationally and internationally, the CD is slated to bring a fresh new sound to the music industry. Her positive message and powerful voice gives life to her unique vocal sound. Furthermore, Cynthia’s music is a collection of inspirational and soul stirring music that will leave you feeling encouraged and lifted.
Cynthia, a resident of Beaumont, Texas, is a wife and the mother of two sons. This native of Baton Rouge is a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She loves the Lord and is faithful to her calling. Her music continues to minister to both young and old alike. Additionally, she has used her gifts of singing and songwriting to minister to those who are lost and to those who are longing for spiritual healing.
She has performed with the Louisiana State University Baton Rouge Opera and with various gospel group in and around Louisiana. She is well known for her performance as "The Old Lady" in Tennessee, Georgia, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Mississippi and Louisiana to name a few. Her diversity can also be attributed to her performances in several Gospel Plays. She has had the opportunity to sing with gospel recording artist such as Yolanda Adams, Keith Pringles, Raymond Myles, James Moore, Donald Vails and country recording artist Charlie Daniels. Most recently Cynthia traveled to Atlanta to compete for a spot on the new nationally-syndicated television show, BET’s SUNDAY BEST.
Cynthia''s debut single "Yes, God Is Real is already receiving airtime throughout the United States, as well as Europe. The most impressive aspect of "Yes, God Is Real" is the return of the traditional gospel music. God has blessed Cynthia with a voice that brings back the traditional gospel songs that mothers and grandmothers love to sing.
"Singing has been Cynthia’s passion ever since she was a child. Gospel music brought her through many trials and tribulations. Her singing is inspired by her great grandmother the late Emma W. Smith, who taught Cynthia all of the old spirituals and encouraged her to sing them. Another special person, the late Ada M. Smith (Cynthia’s Grandmother) also encouraged her
to never give up.
With such a wonderful foundation, and the fact that God has blessed Cynthia with a talent to spread his word through song, we can rest assure that this well kept secret will not be a secret any longer.
