Details:
On November 5th, 2004, emberghost released their debut EP "Meet Me on the Battlefield." By November 6th, the group explained to anxious fans that they were waiting for another shipment of cd''s... every copy had been sold.
More than three years earlier, Daineal Parker was in search of a few wandering souls to join him in his haunt campaign. Across town, drummer David Lindsey and bassist Daniel Alden were waiting for the right voice to front their laments. It wasn''t long before the three, as if written in the stars, were on the stage together. But after a few concerts and long, exhausting studio sessions, the trio was collapsing under the weight of the epic, guitar and sting-driven sound, and opted to recruit another ghost or two.
Enter Sean Cochran. Talented, attractive, sharp, and 18, he was ideal. Sean''s guitar-work eased the burden on Parker, allowing him to make the most of his voice, and opening up a whole new arena for battling guitars. But the mournful, solemn, "angel in a graveyard" trademark sound of emberghost is rooted in the strings and ethereal female backing vocals. Julie Parrish, the youngest and most recent addition to the band, provided just that.
Even before the release of "Meet Me on the Battlefield," emberghost boasted more than half a million downloads from previous mp3 releases, claiming fans globally with bases in Poland, Germany, Italy, Britain, Argentina, Lebanon, and Canada. Numerous write-ups can be found online, as well as multiple articles in the Oregonian and the Gresham Outlook. Regular performance hotspots include A-list venues such as the Aladdin and Roseland Theatres in Portland, Oregon, with noted touring acts such as Relient K, Beautiful Mistake, Demon Hunter, Haste the Day, and more. Their most recent concert took place at the Hard Rock Café in Salt Lake City, Utah. Emberghost is from Gresham, Oregon, and has a combined age of 20.
