MP3 Dr. Del - Highway 56
In these folk-rock tunes, Dr. Del writes and sings about love, politics, anti-war, liars, peace, good times, and redemption, with acoustic driven music and a pop band spirit.
Details:
Highway 56 - Love and anger on a six string express ride.
These songs were written around my 56th birthday. As a "Boomer", I''ve had a lot of love in my life, but I am still pissed off about half the time. The love lifts me up, but the mean, evil, and tragic events of the world make great lyrics.
When you listen to this CD, you might not like everything I have to say, but I guarantee you will know who I am.
Lyrics make the message:
"Everyday you stand there with your black and your white.
You always know in every way, in every thought, you’re right.
Your life, your mind has no room for grays." (You Can''t Make Me)
- or -
"There’s a hardness in this heart of mine.
There’s shadows in my soul.
What rhyme or reason could there be;
To feel this lost; to feel this low." (Changes)
- or -
"Racing down the highway 56, the wind in our hair.
Drivin’ hard in the turns, living on a dare.
Needle hits hundred and ten, headed no where,
wind in our hair, livin’ on a prayer." (Highway 56)
- or -
"No matter how fierce the storms blow.
No matter if the sea fills with tears.
I know your love is my harbor.
Your love takes away all my fears." (The Fire)
"Truth is gone, the vulgar lies are alive.
Lying is so easy, they can wipe away the truth... We just want to hear some truth" (Truth, 2008), and Highway 56 has it.
I hope you enjoy listening. I sure enjoyed writing the lyrics and playing the music. If you want a free copy of the lyrics & chords, email: https://www.tradebit.comnseling@https://www.tradebit.com

Dr. Del is the front band for Dr. David Losey (pronounced “low see”). David is an educator and licensed mental health counselor, who began pop-rock guitar music with the explosion of the Beatles in 1965. After playing with several garage bands in high school and college, he focused on writing folk-rock material, while always maintaining the pop-rock sound. Today, “Dr. Del” centers music on political issues and on the saving power of love. The songs blend metaphors and heart felt emotion with “sing-along” refrains.
