ALL ABOUT E…hmm…Well, this young lady was born and raised in a small suburban town in New Jersey, USA called Plainfield. While a little girl growing up in the early 70’s, this painfully shy youngster found much of her expression in the form of playing the piano, guitar, and singing. To hear her mother say it, Emarylyn, also known as Emma, E, and Lynn, composed her first song at the age of three entitled, “Emma Lou Got a New Pair of Shoes.”
One need only look at the cover of All About E to tell this elegant lady enjoys the finer things in life. Not surprisingly, this includes music, all genres of music whose depth and integrity stand the test of time. Emarylyn detests being confined to liking one style of music over another because as she says, “A good song is a good song” regardless of its genre.
Apparently Emma practices what she preaches by way of All About E. Each original composition, by comparison, sets itself apart from the other, yet all of the styles come together to define the essence of Emarylyn. She takes you on a twenty year journey starting from a naïve, coquettish young lady seeking her musical niche all the way to an all knowing woman who has finally found it. Enjoy.
