GerriMango is a debut collection of songs by Gerri McManus, performed and recorded at Bath Spa University''s recording studios. Mastered and produced by Davy Ray Moor, with Gerri singing on three of the songs, lead guitar by Joe Bennet.
Gerri''s interests and background include psychology as well as Eastern and Western Philosophy so her songs are a way of expressing and exploring the deepest emotional journeys.
Musically, Gerri started off singing acapella traditional Scottish and Irish songs and playing flute at Folk sessions and festivals in the UK and Ireland, but with so many diverse influences from Kate Bush, Ella Fizgerald, Cole Porter, Gershwin, Irvin Berlin, the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Debbie Harry and Blondie, Annie Lennox, Cardigans, Portishead, Garbage, on and on and on the songs she writes are diverse! Gerri says - ''the style just depends on what the song needs to say...''
