Details:
As long as I can remember music has been a significant part of Brett''s & my life. I guess our parents growing up in a generation where music had such an impact wanted to share it with their family. I remember hearing Motown, the Beatles & the Philly sound…a place where we had spent a good many years growing up. Coming together as a band wasn’t a given though as brothers…each of us in our own time & place didn’t hit that connection musically until we were both in New York. I had been away from music, writing, looking for a film project. Brett had just finish some his work & moved to NYC to find a band to play with. Being in the audition you''d have felt that something was coming together, but when Brett had a hard time finding another guitar player to finish the band - the opportunity hit. I still remember that crisp fall night in our Greenwich Village watering hole around the corner from our shoebox of an apartment, sipping on whiskey to warm the blood & inspire the mind. There the band came together…right place right time. Still, it was all about to change somewhat, for we needed a manager & it turned out our bass player, who came from L.A., knew of one…only he was in L.A. As luck would have it he was interested…so were we...& hell…it’s L.A.

It’s hard to sum up those two years in L.A., Brett and I met a lot people, had just as many relationships - I’m not sure if the good & bad times evened out…we sure had our highs & lows, but it was always interesting. Its what a lot, if not all, of our new album Electric Drag is about – movin’…tryin’ to move up, goin’ up & down on the strip in Hollywood.

Rehearsing in some dirty old space right off Hollywood blvd., making sure the bolt was on the door so none of the zombies could get in. Playing the Viper Room & them taking us in…it was literally our second home. Playing New Years night there with Buckcherry…you couldn’t fit another body in that place…it was the best show. Playing the Whiskey a Go Go with them wasn’t bad either, having played where so many of our influences had played before us. Don’t want to forget the Key Club where we played in front of our biggest crowds…the littlest big club on the strip. That was our life & that was the life. The energy of the nights on the strip…it was just pure anticipation of what new adventure we’d find ourselves in. My brother and I got it 24/7 living right off the strip.

Still, like Harrison said, “All things must pass.” So we took our songs played in the Sandbox, found a record & moved to Nashville to start speadin’ the word…so here we are.
