Details:
Jacob Archer’s chill-out, make-you-want-to-have-a-glass-of-wine-and-put-your-feet-up music Album entitled "URBAN RAIN" is his first to be released and it is sure to be a hit as Archer is able to please the masses.

“Jacob’s professionalism and talent continues to impress me as he shines as an extremely multifaceted musician who makes hit-quality production and composition look easy,” says 90210 Records Founder Jacci Deal. “Archer is unlimited as a musician and entertainer. He can compose every genre of music from easy listening and rock/alternative to R & B/ hip hop, techno and so much more. He is clearly a potential musical legend.”

Archer has also impressed fellow artists who have sought him out for his very versatile talent. He has played electric and acoustic guitar with new age recording artist Ryan Farish.

And as for Archer’s Urban Rain ? He describes it as “very instrumental. I use several layers of different synths - bass, percussion, piano…”

The album’s title track, “Urban Rain,” massages the mind with a mellow piano rhythm and laid-back acoustic melody.

“I composed the song and pictured myself looking out a window and watching the rain gently come down upon the city” Archer says. “It’s a relieving scene, like the city is being washed clean of all its busy activities so it can take it on again the next day. I decided to name my album after the title track because all my songs are essentially this way. It’s something you can listen to after a hard day’s work; to have some down time for yourself and relax before you have to wake up and go back to work again.”

Archer plays mostly all the instruments in his music and is a true musician by all means. Born and raised in Riverton, Wyo., he first started playing tunes such as “Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater” and “Mary Had a Little Lamb” on the family piano at the tender age of five and without a single piano lesson.

He expanded his musical repertoire throughout grade school and college – playing the electric and acoustic guitar, drums and bass. He even worked his way around the Wyoming bar circuit as lead guitarist for his “Hoosier Daddy” but now retired rock band.

After moving to Virginia, where he served in the U.S. Navy, married and moved into his wife’s apartment with a sea bag and (of course) a guitar, Archer decided to seriously pursue his musical talents and moved to California in 2005.

Archer’s pitch-perfect ear and sharp engineering skills keeps his music sounding crystal clear and has only enhanced his unique sound. Listen closely to songs such as “K-2” and “Birds of Paradise” and you will hear digital sounds that seem to mimic nature’s natural sounds such as wind and birdsong.

The music, composed by Archer in his West Hollywood home studio, is a mix of virtual instruments and his actual playing on the piano, drums and guitar. The intricate sounding melodies and carefully placed bass lines evoke just the right mood combination of reinvigoration and calmness.

“A lot of people say that my music is very soothing and relaxing. It’s probably something that you’ll find at a spa,” Archer says.

More than likely you have already heard Archer’s compositions. Songs such as "Message," "Journey Into the Unknown," "Birds of Paradise," and "Beyond the Horizon" – all from URBAN RAIN – have been playing on The Weather Channel’s Local on the 8’s program since November 2006 for people all over the world to hear.

“I feel that all this hard work, all the risks I took to follow my dream to be a musician is finally beginning to pay off,” he says. “I’m very excited because my goal is to share my music with people of all ages and backgrounds.”

He hopes that all those who listen to his music are also inspired to follow their dreams, whatever they may be, through life’s journeys. He adds that many of his songs take his listeners to the beautiful and inspiring places he has been.

“From the open spaces and brilliant sunsets of Wyoming, to listening to the Atlantic Ocean curl and crash on the Eastern Shore and now the thrill and excitement of Los Angeles where, on very few occasions, the rain falls but when it does it seems to calm the hustle and bustle of this big city, all of these places are reflected in my music,” Archer says.
