Special Guest Artist Zakir Hussain: tablas
Bassist Pat Klobas and vibraphonist Tommy Kesecker have joined forces to create a sound they can call their own. The vibes-bass-woodwind-percussion instrumentation is used to explore original compositions and jazz classics alike. Johnny Mandel’s film noir classic “Barbara’s Theme”, Thom Bell and Linda Creed’s funky “People Make the World Go “Round” and Benny Golson’s “Along Came Betty” are arranged and performed by the Klobas/Kesecker Ensemble with flair. Featured guest tabla master Zakir Hussain lends his brilliance to the project with his uncanny ability to take the music to another level.
