Kween Ka$h was born with many gifts. One of which was rhyming. Immersed into music from a very young age, she knew that it''s not her wish, but her destiny to create music with a flear. Influenced by multiple genres of music and entertainers, she found herself falling in love with the lyrics, choreography, and style of many artists.
Born in Brooklyn New York, to Trinidadian parents, Kashana Green has no qualms about representing these dualities. She would just as eagerly attend a Hip Hop concert as she would a West Indian Carnival. Her creative mix of music and culture makes her absolutely distinguishable amongst other artist. Ka$h''s talent and drive has enabled her to open up for major recording artist such as Keyshia Cole, Slim Thug and Hip Hop legend KRS One. She''s even had the opportunity to appear on BET''s Black Carpet, Rap City and MTV''s TRL with Eve. With every performance and dimpled smile, she makes new fans who recognize Kween Ka$h is a true talent.
In the summer of 2006, the underground hip hop community recognized this as well. At the 4th Annual Underground Music Awards, Kween Ka$h came away with the award for “Best Female Rapper” as voted by her peers. Even with this huge accomplishment and many others, Ka$h realizes that there’s a long road ahead to super stardom and success. Anyone who meets her knows that she is surely prepared for the journey. Her debut album PURE FIRE speaks for itself. As she often says, "It''s the beginning of a new reign." Soon many will realize why Kween Ka$h is deserving of the throne.
