Details:
Paul Priest teamed up with Detroit''s The Brothers Groove (Chris Codish on keys, James Simonson on bass, and Skeeto Valdez on acoustic and electric drums) to record an album co-produced by boutique pedal maker Robert Keeley. The Motor City Horns (Mark Byerly, trumpet; Keith Kaminski, saxophone; and John Rutherford, trombone) join on three tracks, and Mark Byerly on two additional cuts.

In December 2006, Robert Keeley and Paul Priest set into motion the makings of an extremely musical project. Robert is the creator and owner of Keeley Electronics, specializing in custom guitar gear and modifications. Paul spent years recording and gigging in the Detroit metropolitan area and was commissioned to record clips for select Keeley Electronics pedals. An album was the next logical step: great tones, great gear, and creative music were all that was needed.

The intent behind the album is music first AND gear first: to showcase--not showboat--the incredible quality of Keeley Electronics products and to be extremely musical at every turn. This is no demo or compilation of clips. The Keeley Effect is what happens when ALL the players like the sounds they''re hearing. It''s the union tools and trade.

Keeley gear was not used on the guitar alone: vocals, trumpet, bass, and drums were processed through various pedals. A complete list of what pedal used on each track is included in the CD liner notes, in addition to lyrics and all production credits.

Four-panel digipak with six-page color insert. Mixed by Paul Priest and Azuolas Sinkevicius at the Chicago Recording Company (assistant engineer Shinji Takaoka). Mastered by UE Nastasi at Sterling Sound, NYC. Graphics by Al Brandtner of Brandtner Design. Produced by Paul Priest and Robert Keeley.
