In addition to our well-being, we would like to contribute to the local feeding program, and I can tell you that support from neighbors in this community is vital to its success. Each day they help feed more than 100 children two meals! For one reason or another, these children arrive at school without enough food to eat.
Some parents are going through a temporary financial crisis, other parents cant make ends meet at the end of the month. There are lots of reasons why children come to school hungry. In fact, one in five children in the neighborhood lives in poverty and we know that where there is poverty, there is hunger. The program need our help.
They are asking all neighbors in the community to provide assistance in whatever ways they can. Thats why we want to help with the proceeds from this video. The local grocery store is them us with milk and fruit.
You may not know the names of the neighbors well be helping, but they will know your generosity. Communities that actively participate in creating solutions to the problems that affect them become strong communities.
Strong communities benefit everyone. You will be contributing to reduce child poverty, reduce chronic hunger, and to develop hope in the hearts of children.
