With over a decade of writing, recording, and touring under his belt, Ron Greene has quietly become one of the most accomplished musicians in the Northwest.
After performing with regional bands in Arizona and Idaho, Greene’s largest success came as the lead guitarist and backup vocalist for Coeur d’Alene’s Nate Schierman Band from 2003-2007. With Schierman, who is signed to Dummy Boy Records, Greene recorded three studio albums, performed in front of thousands as they toured throughout the West Coast, and opened up for Tyrone Wells, Presidents of the United States of America, and (as a solo artist) PM Dawn.
The demise of the Nate Schierman Band in 2007 opened the door for Greene to focus on his solo career, and his debut solo album, “Sketches” is slated for release in early 2008. His blend of acoustic and electric guitars and smooth voice make for an organic, raw blend of soul, rock and roll, with a hint of pop, and his words of love, friendship and simple faith flow through a record that only a lifetime could create.
The winner of the Hitstreet Records Talent Search in Spokane, Washington, Greene has already been featured on Spokane radio stations, weekly newspapers, and had a TV appearance on KXLY’s “Good Morning Northwest”.
With great anticipation, the release of “Sketches” marks a new era for Greene, and fans old and new can finally capture a glimpse into this up-and-comer. The winds have changed, and now it’s time to soar.
