Bio
Date of Birth: July 12 1974
Place of Birth: Dunnville, Ontario, Canada

As a child I grew up in a middle class home. My father was the manager of a local theater and ran as a politician before his fatal stroke in 1983.
After my dad passed away things around the home changed dramatically. I moved to my grandmother’s whose backyard was adjacent to my mom’s. My little sister stayed with my mom. Life in Dunnville as a teenager was quite boring, and uneventful. Most of the industries moved out of town by this time, and the place was stagnant for business. We had no Tim Horton’s, no major department stores, and no malls, not even a McDonalds. We didn’t even have a theater.
As a teenager I started hanging out on the streets a lot. [Regrettably] I got involved in a lifestyle, which could be summed up in the well-known phrase “sex, drugs and rock n’ roll”.
In 1992 my 18th birthday came and went. There was no party or celebration. For the most part, my friends and family were not there for me. I began to remember the earlier years of my life, when my birthday was a big thing. As a family we would go to do something special, and I got good birthday gifts. But things deteriorated over the years. My 18th birthday was non-eventful. This was a ‘wake up call’. I suddenly realized that the life I was living was empty and fruitless. The thought ran through my head, “There’s got to be more to life than this!”
Around that time I had a dream that I went to the Local Christian bookstore and bought a tape. When I woke up I thought, “Wow, that was a strange dream!” At that time no one could imagine me going to the Christian Bookstore. I was a heavy metal maniac, who lived on parties and pleasure. So this was not a usual thing. Regardless I was spiritual enough to know that dreams were meaningful. So, in response to the dream I went to the Christian Bookstore that day. I ended up buying a small 20-minute tape called, “Comfort and Healing”. This is what I desperately needed at that point in my life but I didn’t realize it.
When I got home I went to my room and listened to the tape. It was a simple tape. A lady and a gentleman would take turns reading scripture verses from the Bible with a soft instrumental background. As I listened to the music and the scripture I felt and sensed an incredible peace, and love. It was such a glorious feeling. I suddenly realized that all the drugs in the world could not make me feel better. It was a feeling of total acceptance, absolute love, and immeasurable peace. I didn’t know what I was experiencing but now I know it as the presence of God. The experience was so awesome and powerful it completely changed my life. Immediately my addictions fell off like broken chains. I removed myself from my old friends and began seeking the Lord with all my heart. Even the neighbors asked what happened to me! They said it was like a day and night difference.

The Musical Me
All my life I have been musical. I remember creating my first song before pre-school. I have always loved to write music. Since my life-transforming encounter with God in 1992 I have written over 30 songs to the glory of God. My musical style has a broad range: everything from soft to hard rock. I love writing songs and I give all the glory to God.

History
In 1994 I made a home recording of some of the songs I have written. I decided immediately to take it to the streets. I started by touring the streets on my hometown with a Walkman (armed with my first home-recorded tape). I targeted street-kids. I met a guy I knew from before. I asked him to listen to my music. He was immediately interested in obtaining a copy of the music.
The second person that listened to this amateur recording was a young guy on a street bench. When he listened he said, “Man, you gotta come with me!” He took me to an apartment with a whole room of guys partying. He threw my tape on the stereo and asked everyone to listen. Everyone there asked me for a copy of the songs except for one. This was great encouragement to me.
I have also played in halls and public parks in the area. I have also played in a few drop-in centers. Almost everywhere I go people are constantly asking me for more. “Do you have a CD?” they ask, “Can I get a copy?”
So now I have decided to take my music to the world!
