As the name implies this band embraces the entire palette that is rock. With well-written songs, comprised of catchy hook laden choruses and strong lyrical verses Testing Ground proves, they do not fear melody. Their influences range from electronic and emo to hardcore and hip-hop, encompassing everything in between. This stems from the eclectic tastes of its members.
Testing Ground''s independently released EP effort entitled Turn and Heed speaks for itself. Recorded with Pat Casey (Pain In Life, Enable Kain, The Movement), in his Modern Music Studio Testing Ground found an atmosphere for growth! As the chorus to the title song states When you hear me scream you will turn and heed, Testing Ground will not be ignored. Song to song you hear all of Testing Ground influences wrapped around their primary objective, that being making kick ass hardcore rock and roll.
Testing Ground has now finished writing and recording it''s follow up EP entitled "Growing Pains" which sees the band much more focused. This time Testing Ground employed the talents of a super talented producer/engineer in Drew Leclair and trusted that he shared their outlook as a band. This is quite evident on the 7 tracks of "GROWING PAINS" which shows a much more settled four-piece. These guys have stepped it up again and hope that everyone enjoys!
