Details:
Radius is the second album from the composer of New Age sensation Excremental Intermission. The style is notably similar to that of the more popular ambient and experimental songs from Halbert''s debut album Do Not Listen.

The songs are more diverse than ever before but Radius goes one step further and dishes up an even more elaborate exploration of outwardly exotic musical ideas.

The first of the eight songs on the album is a retro pop overture that hints at the contents of the other seven in immediate succession. This gives way to a slow, thoughtful meandering piano arrangement, a Hollywood-style minimalist orchestral piece, and a dark brooding ambient track featuring a plethora of catchy melodic themes that crop up repeatedly throughout the song itself and even go so far as to creep into the rest of the album.

The second half of Radius consists of largely experimental material: a highly contrasting dynamic pop-jazz hybrid with an organ as the lead, an otherwise rudimentary club tune with an emotive piano solo cutting in right towards the end, a dance track that serves as a double homage to Halbert''s British Isles/Australian roots with a lightning-fast Celtic melody and didjeridu-laden interlude, and a deeply relaxing minimalist guitar motif driving an intensely simplistic piano melody to bring the album to its timely conclusion.
