Born on her family farm in rural Louisiana, Myrtis began writing lyrics at an early age. Her favorite singers are Hank Williams and Conway Twitty. Her family includes three children and twelve grandchildren, and she believes in helping her fellow man and the less fortunate.
Myrtis has released her second CD, titled "Let Your Pride Shine". A wonderful mix of patriotism and country songs that all listeners will be able to relate to, and embrace with open ears.
Myrtis''s first CD was a compilation CD, titled “A Collection”; a CD of country and spiritual/Christian songs that will leave the listener wanting more. Myrtis''s lyrics are accompanied by music by Ronnie James and Linda Lane and performed by various singers such as Marshall Black and Krista Lynn. Straightforward and down-to-earth with recognizable themes such as love and God, Myrtis presents a vivid and moving portrait of country life with her lyrics. Both Country and Christian/spiritual music fans across the board will find much to enjoy in this compilation cd.
