Details:
The wild and woolly remix album from Veronica Black Morpheus Nipple. Electronic versions of songs from the Special Problem Music album, all in various styles. The CD contains remixes from DJ BC (The Beastles), Kasson and Sean of Freezepop, Peter Moore of Count Zero and many other friends from Archenemy Records, Castle von Buhler Records and beyond.

The original Special Problem Music is a flamboyant and adventurous rock album led by singer-songwriter Commodore Vic and multi instrumentalist and producer Sean Drinkwater, (who you may know from the band Freezepop.) The lovely Bangkok Splendor provides organ parts and backing vocals. Slain Tot (The Unadrummer) and a virtuoso bassist known only as Clancy Park nail down the rhythm tracks both live and on record.

These songs are notable for their inventive arrangements, catchy melodies and disturbing lyrical themes. Topics include gender confusion, jealousy, sexual abduction as a cure for existentialism, ice cream, unrequited love, and the desire to subjugate one''s peers.

Special Problem Guests include Leah Callahan, Danny Gold (Polystar), Dave Nelson and Karl Thien (Turkish Delight), Matt Martin (Chevy Heston), and Japanese artist Keiko Higuchi.

Much has been written about Veronica Black Morpheus Nipple, but very little has been read. Their debut album, Special Problem Music, has been described as "ten years ahead of its time,” which is lucky, because ten years have now passed.

OBLIGATORY PRESS QUOTES:

Jim Sullivan, Boston Globe, February 16th, 1998
"[Veronica Black Morpheus Nipple] is an over-the-top, odd duck of a band - part-glam, part-sleaze...They get to a rich, "Pump-it-up" sound when sexy nerd organist Bangkok Splendor and guitarist/synthisist Sean T. Drinkwater merged and drummer Slain Tot kicked butt."

Joel Simches, The Noise #178
"Undeniably brilliant...Their live show is a cross between a glitzy cabaret and a back alley freakshow as they tread that fine line between tortured genius and total absurdity. I am absolutely blown away with [Special Problem Music]."

Miss Stacey, Cheeseball #13
"I can''t stop playing [Special Problem Music], its ear candy keeps me hungry for more. This band emulates everything positive about post New Wave without any of the trappings of camp."
