Details:
Wembi is a talented singer, songwriter, composer and music producer whose unique style of music has been categorized as new Indie world music. His combination of melodies, rhythm and harmonies are reflections of his life experiences and multi-cultural background (Born in Europe, raised in Africa and educated in America. He speaks 4 languages fluently). Although exposed to contemporary Top 40 hits from the 70s and 80s during his youth, Wembi did not have an interest in playing any musical instrument until his late teens. He got the bug of songwriting then and has been writing original pieces since. He entered and won several songwriting contests and performed successfully at benefit concerts, in churches across the country and at various corporate events. In 1998, he recorded, produced and released his debut album called “Footprints in the Sand" which was well received by fans and critics alike. Many of the songs off the album are still popular on sites such as iTunes, Yahoo Music, MSN, Live365 Radio, CD Baby, https://www.tradebit.com, https://www.tradebit.com and much more.

With "Second Chances", Wembi shows what a true creative artist he is, by pushing the envelope of his musical talent beyond his usual style. For example, he wrote the song "To Sassy, Lady Ella, Cab and Bobby McFerrin" as a scat piece. Scat singing is a lost yet valuable art form from the early 20th Century made famous by the likes of Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzegarld. In his version, Wembi has given his scat song, a modern twist which keeps the tempo upbeat and refreshing. The song is also his tribute to Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Cab Calloway and Bobby McFerrin - four of the most influential black entertainers in the history of music.

"Second Chances" with its 13 songs, has been described as an “uplifting, powerful, mature, sincere, modern and innovative" work of art. It will delight the listeners on many levels and will lead them to play several songs over and over.
