PIANO SOLOS WITH PASSION is a collection of original compositions from former rock drummer turned pianist Riley Weber.
Riley has been composing on the piano since the age of 4. His mother taught him how to first play. Riley learned the basics of theory and sightreading from his mother but has always loved to compose new melodies on his own. His first composition he remembers making up at age 5 when his mother challenged him to make up a song with five notes on one hand. His composing on the Piano continued as Riley got older. He enjoyed playing the piano especially when nobody was home so he could play as long and hard as he wished. The piano that he played on had to be re-tuned partly because of how hard he ''banged'' on the notes. You can feel just how hard he ''bangs'' on the piano on the fourth track entitled ''Sexy Swing Song''.
Every composition is full of emotion and lots of passion. Riley pours out his soul on nearly every song. You might be able to feel that as you listen especially on the tracks ''One Hi a Week'' and in ''Tropical Paradise''.
Riley continued to study the piano by taking two years of piano classes at Mesa Community College. His influences have been Billy Joel with his great songs on the piano such as ''Only A Woman''. Composer John Williams has also been a role model to Riley with compositions such as ''Over the Moon'' on the E.T. soundtrack. On track number six, ''Luna Llena'' you can hear some of the John Williams influence. His musical pieces tend to inspire and motivate and that is the wish of Riley through his musical compositions.
Recently Riley has solidified some of his musical pieces and recorded them on PIANO SOLOS WITH PASSION. Riley enjoys playing other instruments including the acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard, and singing. Howeveer, piano is Riley''s number one instrument of choice.
Riley''s first album released through Bandgard was a Christmas Album called ''Shine Through Christmas''. In that, he sings and plays the acoustic guitar to both original and traditional Christmas favorites.
