Happirian Culture
This book became necessary out of the need to share with people in Nigeria and around the world the things that makes me, as an individual, happy and how I continue to sustain that happiness. This book chronicles all those behavioral patterns, habits and practices that make people happy or sad either by omission or commission. We need, at some point, to know who we are as individuals and know what makes us happy. I ask why people continue to indulge things that make them uneasy and sad. Is it possible that tradition, peer and family pressure are making us to do things that we would not do ordinarily? A Happirian knows what makes him or her happy and practices those principles without compromise. In the African context, we have been programmed to respect those older than us and hence do their biddings without objections. In that case, you can never be truly happy because there is that possibility that you would be ‘living the life’ that others want you to.
