Tobias is a group of three musicians that formed in 2006. They merged from two other successful bands from Indiana. The group consists of Jeff Purdy on lead and rhythm guitar, lead and background vocals, Larry Tobias on keyboards, sax, harmonica and background vocals, and Toby Tobias on acoustic guitar, drums, bass, and lead and background vocals. Jeff Purdy and Larry Tobias were formerly in the very popular group CIA (Caught In The Act) and Toby Tobias was a major contributor of statewide staple bands Fevertree and Maxwell’s Box.
Tobias offers an exciting combination of song writing and musical skill that gives the listener an eclectic taste of rock music. Their influences range from Led Zeppelin, Bryan Adams, Tom Petty and Neil Young to Mitch Mitchell, Weezer, Billy Joel and James Taylor.
