Laurie Kuhlman is an actress, singer song writer that has extensive performance experience from an early age. Her lyrics are stories about the emotional situations of life and conflict. Late in 2007, Laurie put her song writing skill to work in a collaboration with Steven Miesowicz who created the music to go with the stories Laurie worte. The result is a blend of stories told both by music and inventive lyrics. The collaboration between Steven and Laurie forms the basis for the band "Random Family". The "family" is completed with Amanda Lewan on drums and Don Parker on Bass. Amanda is an artist as well as a musician. Don handles technology for the band as well as the Bass responsibilities. Don has a habit of "hot rodding" equipment for the band as he enjoys collecting music equipment.
Random Family music is based on strong rock influences as well as the time honered tradition of using music to tell stories.
