Details:
Saint Solitude is the ongoing solo project of Dup Crosson, a New England native and member of the band The Cardinal Heart.

Growing up as a drummer, Crosson began writing songs at the age of 15, heavily influenced by The Smashing Pumpkins and the sounds of the Britpop generation that slightly preceded his formative years. Several cities, years, and bands later, Saint Solitude emerged in Asheville, NC as the official outlet for the lost and in-between songs that couldn''t stay out of the limelight any longer.

The debut CD, Disaster Stories, was self-released in January 2008. The 5-song EP features compositions penned by the author while living in Sweden 2 years prior. The lyrical themes focus on the patterns of destructive personalities and an overall skepticism towards modern society and religious thought. The latter is evidenced particularly by the lead track, "Heroes Turned to Whores."

Dup Crosson also plays in The Cardinal Heart, a trio that emphasizes the grittier side of Crosson''s guitar, piano, and lyrical talents.
